The gentle giant of the farm, Carlos is a draft cross gelding used for intermediate and advanced lessons. He excels at everything from western pleasure to jumpers and is a perfect fit for riders who enjoy a versatile horse.
Consider Buddy Too “Chance”
A registered Quarter Horse gelding, Chance is used for both hunt seat and western lessons. He has a sweet “in your pocket'” personality and loves attention from any visitors to the barn.
Wintergreen Carlos Santana “Carlos”
A registered Morgan gelding, Carlos is used with our intermediate riders. Our students and clients have successfully shown him in western dressage, western pleasure, and academy classes. Carlos is also ridden hunt seat in our lesson program.
Bittersweet Farm has a lesson program suited to riders of all ages, levels of experience, and disciplines. We pride ourselves on providing quality instruction to horse-lovers of all ages and ability levels. Our focus is on teaching horsemanship and equitation principles while helping our students reach their personal riding goals in a fun and safe environment. Whether starting students in their first lesson, taking students to their first local show, or guiding students during their first “A” rated show experiences, our lesson horses are key members of the Bittersweet family.

Policies
Riding lessons are held year round — weather permitting. If you are unable to attend a scheduled lesson, please give us 12 hours notice so that our staff can plan accordingly.
